As we prepare for PTE 2025 in Madrid, let’s take a look back at our journey through PTE over the years, the countries we have visited, and some of our key milestones along the way.
ESP’s presence at PTE: A global commitment to Aviation IT
ESP Global Services has attended 25+ Passenger Terminal Expo events, spanning multiple countries across Europe. From our first appearance at PTE 1998 in Frankfurt, Germany, to our upcoming presence at PTE 2025 in Madrid, Spain, our commitment to supporting the aviation industry with world-class IT services has remained unwavering.

Throughout our history of attending Passenger Terminal Expo, and exhibiting each year since 2004, ESP has achieved significant milestones that have shaped our growth and industry impact.
1999 (PTE Frankfurt, Germany)
- ESP moved to a 10,000 sq. ft. facility to accommodate growing demand.
2000 (PTE Frankfurt, Germany)
- Won our first airport check-in system contract at Gatwick Airport, a partnership that continues today.
2002 (PTE Hamburg, Germany)
- ESP.co.uk Ltd was born, reflecting a modernised brand and service expansion into Italy, Spain, Belgium, and Germany to support a major US airline.
2006 (PTE Paris, France)
- Secured United Airlines as our first major international contract, supporting all non-US locations.
- Established our Global Service Network (GSN) to provide seamless worldwide IT support.
2011 (PTE Copenhagen, Denmark)
- Expansion into data centre services, with Southampton Airport as our first major customer.
- First Eurostar support contract, marking entry into rail transport IT services.
2012 (PTE Vienna, Austria)
- Provided IT support for the London 2012 Olympics at Heathrow Airport.
- Expanded into Latin America, supporting 12 countries with SITA desktop solutions.
2015 (PTE Paris, France)
- Expanded our global footprint, registering operations in Australia, the Philippines, and Singapore.
- Secured a major IT outsourcing contract supporting a leading pharmaceutical company across 18 countries.
2018 (PTE Stockholm, Sweden)
- ESP CEO Andy Jenner took the helm following the untimely passing of co-founder Darren Richardson.
- Won a major European retail IT support contract supporting all stores globally.
2020-2021 (COVID-19 Pandemic)
- Despite PTE’s cancellation, ESP adapted by providing critical IT support for COVID testing centres, aviation support services, and retail business continuity solutions.
2022 (PTE Paris, France)
- Won ESP’s largest aviation contract to date, supporting a global IT Outsourcer with IT service desk and end-user computing across all locations.
- Entered the US aviation market, supporting JFK International Terminal 4.
2023 (PTE Amsterdam, Netherlands)
- Continued expansion in aviation IT support across Europe and North America.
- Strengthened our end-to-end IT service solutions for major airports with ESP innovations AirportNow and AirportNow Lite.
2024 (PTE Frankfurt, Germany)
- Awarded ESP’s largest aviation IT support contract, providing IT support services at all airports served by United Airlines in the US and Canada – over 200 airports with onsite and field engineering teams and a 24/7 IT Help Desk.
